Same Roxy, same hospital, different baby...17months almost to the day between #EverlyRoseHutton & #AaronJackHutton. I’m healing up a lot quicker this time around, pretty sure it’s mostly due to the fact that I’m running around after a finally-waking toddler...although I’ve also made sure I take the prescribed pain meds as and when I need to. I stopped them with Everly after only a few days as I was worried they were making her really sleepy...but this time around I feel rather a sleepy baby and a happy and strong mommy 💪 Here’s my two babies weights and measurements: 🌸Everly Rose 05/09/2017 3.085kgs 53cm 36 hour unmedicated labor, resulting in emergency Caesar 🐳Aaron Jack 09/02/2019 3.64kgs 50cm 24 hour unmedicated labor (attempted #VBAC), resulting in an emergency Caesar Although both my births didn’t end up as I had planned, I have two healthy and happy little ones and I can’t say I didn’t try...and who knows, perhaps my gynae will be open to me attempting a #VBA2C one day🙈😘 #twoundertwo #newmommyagain #newbornbabies

While she hasn’t been too interested in the ‘baba’ just yet, she has enjoyed getting a peek at him sleeping. I was pretty darn terrified of the 17 month age gap these two have, but I’m actually starting to see why people say it’s crazy intense in the beginning, but it’s also easier because you’re still in the ‘baby mindset’ and so you just go from one baby to the next. It’s even made me think that that we might actually plan a small she gap like this for BabyHutton#3 (that’s if I can convince hubby that we simply can’t simply just have two kids (especially when I’ve always dreamed of 5 kids when imagining my future family 😳🤦‍♀️🤣😍👶🏻). @thedaleyvlog snapped this lovely @instaxsa shot of me the day before I went into labor. We had just finished setting up Everly’s big girl bed (our awesome @cozicot converts into a very sweet little toddler bed and as she wasn’t walking yet and her brother won’t need to cot for a good few months we decided to get her used to this before transitioning her into an actual bed). It was a very special moment between the two of us, and im so glad to have the moment captured to remember always. While Everly has been a super star with the adjustment to big sister (she mostly just gets on with life and doesn’t really pay her little brother much attention) she has been acting out more (especially if I am around) and just generally being a bit more wingey and grumpy. It’s so unlike her usual happy self and I’m finding it hard to be patient with her and not overreact or loose my cool...she is still so young and I know she will settle soon enough. I’m trying to be gentler to myself (it’s a huge transition from 1 to 2 and switching between being a mommy to a toddler and a newborn isn’t easy...and also recovering from a Caesar is tough too...although surprisingly I’m healing up a whole lot faster than the first time around!). We’ll get there though, just taking it each moment, hour, nap (or lack there of) and day as it comes 💕 Please do leave me tips for making this transition smoother...would love to hear what’s worked for you! #EverlyRoseHutton #twoundertwo #toddlermeltdown #nowwearefour
Valentine’s Day looked a little different this year...we welcomed the day of love by changing a nappy for the upteenth time, romantically reminding Dale to pass me the ice packs for my engorged boobs, all while simultaneously wiping vomit off my night gown 🤣 But you know what @thedaleyvlog, I wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️ Beautiful photo by @deborahann_photo, taken about a million years ago when Farmboy and I were carefree and childless...and yet I feel more filled with love and joy today than I ever felt possible.
