I’m Roxy & I’m so excited that you’re here. Welcome to my {pretty} little corner of the world wide web.

CGS is a lifestyle blog, where I share all sorts of posts from pregnancy, to life with (2) babies on a dairy farm, to makeup & skincare reviews. I’m also a #clothnappy addict, and always love sharing tips and advice on how to start using cloth for your babes. I’m also very into making my own Kombucha and yoghurt, and I swear by a strict routine and no sugar or processed carbs in your little one’s diet…I share tips & recipes for how you can do the same. Finally, I also love sharing more about blogging & tips for running a creative business.

A few phone snaps from my little brothers wedding this weekend ❤️ What a beautiful celebration, and what an absolutely stunning bride. It was so so special to be there with my two little ones. Everly was a flower girl (man oh man she was just the cutest thing...especially when she got half way and then refused to go further until she took off her shoes). And thank goodness for a sleepy Aaron who did his mamma proud and slept pretty much the entire time, waking just to feed (he has been SO unsettled since we got here...lots of crying and grumbling and so I was feeling rather anxious about how he would be at the wedding but he was a star!). Poor Evs went WAY past her strict bed time and even though she was exhausted and kept telling me ‘mommy...go doodoo, bed mommy’ from 5pm. she did so well until home time. And to my gorgeous hubby and groomsman @thedaleyvlog, you rock my world. Thank you to Granny @susan_kohler_pietersma and Aunty @lee_dray & @juliapietersma for all the babysitting too! My brother @pearce_91 is getting married today! And because I’m all about the matchy matchy, I’ve teamed up with @biddykinssa to make sure Everly’s nappies match her dress! She’s a 🌸flower girl🌸 today, and the dress I ordered for her arrived a tad bit shorter (and a tad bit more see through than advertised 🤦‍♀️) and so her nappies will definitely be on show...so I’ve got to make sure they are as pretty as she is. @biddykinssa have just updated their range of cloth nappies with the most gorgeous new prints...and these are my favorite ones. These are their All-In-One nappies which are perfect for being on the go...they do take longer to dry than pockets but there’s no stuffing, they are ready to go straight into the bum after washing and drying. Photo stolen from @thedaleyvlog (his Huawei phone really does take incredible photos!) because how could I not share this special moment of my little girl among her favorite animals. This photo has just about been the highlight of the day so far...so gather round children while I feel sorry for myself for just a moment. The 4 of us have had a pretty crazy Sunday so far...in fact the crazy really actually kicked off at midnight last night (thanks for nothing Aaron and the thunder clouds of week 5 of the #wonderweeksapp) and reached a crescendo at the moment load shedding started #fun. Evs has been winging nonstop since she woke up from her morning nap (complaining that her rooibos ice lolly was ‘too cold’ even though it’s like a million degrees outside and she grabbed it out the freezer herself kinda implying she wanted something cold, right?) all while almost smashing our daily fresh egg haul. All this while Aaron decided to make the world most explosive 💩 (in a cloth nappy I didn’t put on properly) which left me covered in mustard slime, all while already trying to mop up the vomit from a projectile burp only moments before 🤦‍♀️fun and games I tell you! Annnnnyway...thanks go to Granny @margihutton for coming to the rescue and taking Evs for a few hours so hubby and I can finish all the household jobs we have had lined up for months...now just to wait for the power to come on so we can get the drill out 🤦‍♀️ #wonderweekleapsarereal #alwaysblameitonteething #twoundertwogetsreal
