Buttercup Collectibles {I Heart Market}

This saturday (15th Dec) is the last I Heart Market in Durban for the year, and I will be there with my stand {Buttercup Collectibles} selling loads of lovely vintage goodies!

Think typewriters, pearls, bowls, tins and loads of other delightful bits and pieces from days gone by.

Below are some photo's of what I will have at my stand...

If you're in the area come by to do some last minute Christmas shopping (or even just to say hello!).
Hope to see you there!

{Inspiration} Thank you gifts

At the August I Heart Market in Durban, I spotted these really pretty vinyl stickers on little jars at the Little Mud Hut Designs stall.  I was immediately struck with what a cute gift they would make. My mind ran wild with images of buttons, ribbon & lace. These little guys were a gift from Vanessa (who is just the sweetest lady, and the brains behind the Little Mud Hut Designs). I am planning on using these to say thank you to some special friends who have been invaluable to me during the wedding planning.

I also filled them with some pretty pieces I found at Mr Price, but really, you could fill them with anything {even ingredients to make hot chocolate or chocolate chip cookies would look amazing in these jars}. Why not reuse & recycle by visiting your local thrift store (my favourite is the Hospice and SPCA shops right here in Pietermaritzburg) and get crafty with all the different sizes and shapes of glass bottles there.

Groomsmen Corsages

Last week I headed into Durban to meet my lovely friend and creative extraordinaire Nadia, who is the brains behind the amazing blog CupcakeCouture. Not only does Nadia have a stand at the I Heart
Market in Durban every month, she also offers a creative consulting business where she will help you give your brand or business the look and feel it needs to stand out from the crowd. Click here to drop her a line to chat about your creative needs.

As well as all of that, Nadia also helps stressed out brides like myself with details to make our day something special. These are what she put together for me for my Groom and his Groomsmen...aren't they gorgeous {and by gorgeous I mean in the most masculine way possible...incase my fiance has a squizz at this post!}

Nadia even included a little extra one just for me, mine has it's own pretty flower on...thank you Nadia, I love it! xxx

This weekend was the I Heart Market at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Buttercup Collectibles was there, with both Farmboy and myself manning the stall. Thanks to all of you that came on by to say hello and make a purchase. We are planning to be back next month, with lots more vintage collectibles in stock.

Here's a little something I just couldn't resist from Irene at the Lulu Shop. Isn't it just gorgeous?! I can't wait to have friends over for a little spot of tea!

#IHeartMarket...Launch of Buttercup Collectibles!

Saturday marked the very exciting start of Buttercup Collectibles at the I Heart Market at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Thanks so much to everyone who came by to have a look/say hello/make a purchase. It was a wonderful feel to be on the other side of the stalls :) And everyone was so gosh darn friendly! Now I know why I love Durban so much (not that I don't love my home city of gold, but here's just something special about Durbs!). We hope to see you all again next month with lots more goodies in stock...

In the mean time, here are a few pics from Saturday. Don't forget to keep checking up on the "Buttercup" Page at the top of the blog. I will keep updating it with items that are still for sale :) And of course to stay up to date with our Facebook Page

I hope you all had a super relaxing weekend and didn't get swept away in the Cyclone :)
